Loonie Party Manifesto

We, the Decentralized Loonies of Canada, in pursuit of sovereignty, transparency, liberty, and a memetic but meaningful future, do hereby establish this Constitution. Built on the foundations of decentralization, financial autonomy, and radical Canadianism, we pledge to meme responsibly, govern transparently, and hold the line against tyranny — on-chain and off.

The Loonie Party of Canada is founded on and will be guided in its policy formation by the following principles:

1.1

A belief in a balance between fiscal responsibility, accountability, and economic empowerment by promoting self-reliance, decentralization, and equality of opportunity, ensuring that the rights and responsibilities of individuals, families, and free associations are protected.

1.2

The goal of building a national coalition of people and entities who share these beliefs and who reflect the same shared values for a better, decentralized Canada.

1.3

The goal of developing this coalition, embracing our differences, and respecting our traditions, yet honouring a concept of Canada as the greater sum of strong and autonomous parts.

1.4

A belief in loyalty to a sovereign and united Canada, governed in accordance with the Constitution of Canada, the supremacy of democratic parliamentary institutions, and the rule of decentralized governance.

1.5

A belief in the value of all human life and the right to financial sovereignty, privacy, and economic freedom.

1.6

A belief in the equality of all Canadians, including equal access to decentralized finance (DeFi) and economic tools.

1.7

A belief in the freedom of the individual, including freedom of speech, financial privacy, self-custody of assets, decentralized governance, and free market participation.

1.8

A belief in the federal system of government, recognizing the diversity of Canada and advocating for strong provincial and territorial autonomy, ensuring that constitutional boundaries between federal and provincial authorities are respected for mutual and national benefit.

1.9

A belief in the decentralized system of government as the best expression of the diversity of our country, where all who contribute are respected under federal and provincial authorities and where blockchain-based governance ensures transparency and integrity.

1.10

A belief that English and French have equality of status and equal rights and privileges as to their use in all institutions of the Parliament and Government of Canada, and that blockchain voting should be available in both official languages.

1.11

A belief that the best guarantors of prosperity and well-being of the People of Canada is the freedom of individual Canadians to pursue their self-interest within a free, competitive, and decentralized economy.

1.12

The freedom of individual Canadians to enjoy the fruits of their labour to the greatest possible extent, including the right to transact without government interference or taxation on digital assets.

1.13

The right to own property, including digital assets, NFTs, and decentralized financial instruments.

1.14

A belief that a responsible government must be fiscally prudent, must eliminate wasteful spending, and should be limited to those responsibilities which cannot be discharged reasonably by individuals, the free market, or decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs).

1.15

A belief that it is the responsibility of individuals to provide for themselves, their families, and their dependents while recognizing that government must provide a proper digital infrastructure for decentralized participation.

1.16

A belief that the purpose of Canada as a nation-state and its government, guided by reflective and prudent leadership, is to create a climate where individual initiative is rewarded, excellence is pursued, security and privacy of the individual is provided, and prosperity is guaranteed by a free, competitive, and blockchain-enabled economy.

1.17

A belief that Canada should continue its strong heritage of national defense, supporting a well-equipped military, utilizing blockchain technology for transparency in defense spending, honoring those who serve, and promoting our history and traditions.

1.18

A belief that the quality of the environment is a vital part of our heritage to be protected by each generation for the next, and that decentralized carbon credit tracking can ensure responsible environmental stewardship.

1.19

A belief that Canadian jurisdiction extends beyond the coastline to include the internationally recognized regions of the Territorial Sea, Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), and Continental Shelf, while promoting Canada’s leadership in decentralized global trade.

1.20

A belief that good and responsible government is attentive to the people it represents and consists of members who at all times conduct themselves in an ethical manner, displaying integrity, honesty, and concern for the best interests of all, with blockchain accountability to verify transparency.

1.21

A belief that all Canadians should have reasonable access to quality healthcare, with decentralized health data storage ensuring efficiency and security.

1.22

A belief that the greatest potential for achieving social and economic objectives is under a global trading regime that is free, fair, and enhanced by decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions.

1.23

A belief in the power of DAOs and smart contracts to replace bureaucratic inefficiencies, ensuring direct, on-chain governance without reliance on centralized institutions.

1.24

A belief that crypto assets should be tax-free when used for personal transactions, supporting economic freedom and financial sovereignty.

1.25

A commitment to on-chain voting and governance, allowing citizens to directly shape Loonie Party policies through tokenized participation.

1.26

A belief that government spending should be transparent and audited on-chain, preventing corruption, mismanagement, and inefficient allocation of taxpayer funds.

1.27

A belief that the internet is sovereign territory, where Canadians have the right to build, govern, and transact freely without surveillance or interference.

1.28

A belief in the inalienable right to meme — as both art and political expression — and a rejection of censorship in all its forms, algorithmic or institutional.

1.29

A commitment to funding decentralized public infrastructure as essential to national sovereignty in the digital age.

1.30

A belief that artificial intelligence must remain decentralized, transparent, and accessible — with protections against its use as a tool of centralized control.

1.31

A belief in cultural sovereignty through decentralized media, art, and music platforms — empowering Canadian creators without reliance on legacy institutions.

1.32

A commitment to the creation of a utility token ($LOON) for voting, civic engagement, and access to decentralized programs administered by the party.

1.33

A belief in peaceful, memetic revolution — through democratic disruption, digital protest, and on-chain policy movements driven by the people.

1.34

A belief that emergency powers must be time-limited, transparent, and renewed only through public vote on-chain — never granted indefinitely to the state.
