The Loon
The Loon

Ah yes — The Loon. Not just Canada’s most iconic bird, but the spiritual leader of our movement.
Majestic. Mysterious. Mildly unhinged.
Perched on the back of the Canadian dollar — our so-called "loonie" — the Loon stares back at us with glassy eyes and asks: “Is this really the best we can do?”
We say no.
We say it's time to embrace the chaos and forge a new path.
A path led by degens, visionaries, and the terminally online.
The Decentralized Loonie Party of Canada was born from the same place as the Loon: the margins. Cold lakes. Cold wallets. Cold institutions. But like the Loon, we dive deep and resurface louder than ever.
The old system made us Loonies
The Loon is watching. The Loon is rising. Join the flock.
The Genus Gavia
The Common Loon, Gavia immer, is a large aquatic bird known for its haunting, echoing call and dagger-like beak. It is a master diver, capable of plunging over 60 metres (200 feet) beneath the surface in pursuit of fish — a trait we at the DLC Party deeply respect.
They mate for life, travel great distances, and have been clocked flying at over 120 km/h. Simply put, the Loon is Canada’s original apex anarchist — sleek, wild, and impossible to domesticate.
